The internet is becoming an central part of business everywhere, as more and more users are plugging into the numerous resources on the web today. With this in mind, Storm King Computer Consulting can get you set up and help you stay connected. I will work with you to determine the best internet solution for your home or office, coordinate with your ISP, and take on all aspects of the installation and configuration process.
Available Internet Services
The Roaring Fork Valley currently has the following available internet services available to businesses and residents:
- DSL - High speed internet service the uses telephone wires at different frequencies.
- Broadband Wireless or Cable - High speed internet service that uses radio frequencies or coaxial (TV) cable.
- T1 - Super high speed dedicated fiber optic network circuit for businesses, and non-profits.
- Satellite - Medium speed internet service for rural areas where DSL or Broadband is not available.
- Dial-up - Low speed standard internet service that uses telephone wires.
Availability of these services is based on your location. Dial-up, Satellite, and T1 are available in most parts of Garfield and Pitkin Counties. DSL and Broadband are available only in certain areas (such as in or near cities and towns), but are the most inexpensive considering their speed-to-cost ratio.
